Long time, no update. Sorry about that. I've been busy with school, friends, and life
in general. My guilt brought me back to the site though. I once again would
like to stress the point that I can't build the site with Kinopio by myself!
I need help! Even if you only send in a submission once, I would appreciate
the assistance in building up the site. Then I wouldn't have to write three articles
a week. Think about it.
Kinopio gave the OK to add a new section, Lost News! Eager to write
something not a review and a little more humorous, I jumped at the chance. It is
a pretty funny satire that I'm sure many of you will enjoy. Because this is my
first one, I ask that you private message me on the forum with any helpful suggestions
as you how to make them better. Enjoy, and try not to laugh too hard.

I'm back from spring break everyone! Try not to be too excited, I know your
all totally thrilled. The site is really coming along so if your reading this,
submit! I can't help Kinopio build the site all by myself. At the very least
join the forum, spread the word, or even join Wi-Fi Manners. Well, anyway,
here is what I did over spring break.
I've written another retro review. This one might actually be of some use, though,
as its a review for a Japanese import. Mario Bros: The Lost Levels. It can be
found in the Wii shop channel, and I would recommend checking it out if you
have the chance (and the cash :D).

I added a Phantom Hourglass game profile and also *drum roll* a walkthrough to go with it! ...or atleast the first couple parts. I tried to make the walkthrough as spoiler free as possible and added a dash of humor so it doesn't get too
dry. I really enjoyed that game, and to my surprise, writing a walkthrough for it was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
Hopefully I can finish this one up soon so you all can use it. I'm glad the site is starting to get some real content,
and I'm sure amount will keep increasing.
I also added a section, Site Projects. I can't tell you how many times I've blankly stared at the site trying to choose
something to update. Now we have a list which will hopefully keep us focused. It also will tell you what to expect in the
future. They are sort of listed from most important to least important, but we may not do them in that exact order. The list
will probably grow and grow as I think of more things, but that is all for now.
Wow, lot's of updates today. I started to fill up the official image galleries of Twilight Princess and Phantom
Hourglass. There are still many more images we need to upload for both of the games, but I put a 38 up for now.
Twilight Princess definitly had the most time put in it as far as graphic goes; just look at all the images I put up
so far (and there are still at least double that out there). I put some concept designs for Phantom Hourglass that
I found on one of the official sites. I haven't seen them on any other sites so its kind neat that we have them.

I found two more Wii games that deserve to be put in the Game Watch section: Dr. Mario & Virus Buster and Super Mario Stadium Baseball.
Both look very interesting based off of two or three images I've seen off of IGN, yet very little is known about them. If
you find any more information on either them, please feel free to contact me. I enjoyed the previous Mario Baseball game and
most of the Mario sports games are fun. I don't really have any guesses on the new Dr. Mario because I never
played the old one. I guess if Nintendo was willing to do a remake, it must be good.
I also added the two main pages for the sections of the Guide to Hyrule and the Guide to the Mushroom Kingdom.
There isn't anything on them yet, but in there will be information on the many creatures, characters, and objects
in each of the series. Please be patient, each section takes time, and we only have so much time to give. I'm on
spring break right now, so I think I'll spend some more time on the site.
Still enjoying Brawl two weeks later? Me too. All other games now are inferior to this game now... I even heard
people talking about it at school. Strange, I thought Nintendo games were taboo (no pun intended) because it wasn't cool enough.
Just goes to show that the Wii is better than the Playstation 3 and the Halo-box 360... I mean Xbox. Oops, sorry about that.
=D If you wish to play Wi-Fi with me, please, feel free to email me. I'm getting sick of fighting random people with horrible lag problems.

Looks like I'm back on schedule with updating now that I've gotten my week of "Super Smash Bros. Brawl"
in. Since I'm not leaving for spring break vacation until later today, I was able to get this one last
update in before I left. Expect the next update either Sunday night or Monday afternoon. Hope you all
have a great spring break, if you have one this week, and Happy Easter, for those who celebrate it.
I've fixed up the Melee review I told you was a bit messed up. Its much more accurate now and will
give you a better idea of the game in comparison to Brawl. Once again, sorry for any confusion. Make
sure you read the review, though, and don't just go by the rating. There is a special reason as to
why I gave it that rating and I wouldn't want you scared off because you didn't read what I had to say!
I've also added a new page to the site. I thought the hidden characters were lonely all by themselves in the
game archives so I decided to compile a list of all the unlockable stages and how to get them. Now you
don't have to run around the web looking for how to unlock the levels after unlocking all the characters.
Anyway, enjoy!

The Mario Kart Wii dates have finally been revealed for North America and Australia. Surprisingly enough North America
will go last on April 27th, even after Australia's 24th. Hopefully we can get some more coverage on the game later, but
as of now we're all still occupied with Brawl. More updates later!

Sorry about not updating for the last week, but I'm sure your all aware what came out on Sunday. For those of you poor, misinformed folks who don't know,
"Super
Smash Bros. Brawl" finally released in North America on March 9, 2008. A
date I think should be made a national holiday, but thats just me.
Anybody
who has had a chance to play it can probably see why I haven't had a good chance to update. I'm going away for spring break, so it might be another week
again until another update. Anyway, here is what I've done:
Its
only been a week and a half since "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" came out,
but I did as I promised. I've tried out and beaten just about
every single part of this game and have finally pulled myself from the TV long enough to write a review. Its a bit lengthy, so you might
want
to make yourself a snack before you read it. I'm sorry about the Melee
review I wrote before the release of Brawl. While it made
sense
before Brawl came out, it no longer fits. I promise to rewrite it when
I get the chance. Until then, enjoy my newest review. | |

SSBB has finally come to North America; I hope you all are enjoying the game as much as I am! You can you discuss the game
and have Wi-Fi battles with people on the forums, so please go there if you don't have any "real life" friends that own
Brawl. I added a page to the SSBB profile that tells you how to unlock each and every hidden character in the North
American version of Brawl. It is useful so you aren't play 300+ matches just to get a character when there are much
faster ways.
Hopefully Brawl won't take too much time away from website, but it is awfully fun! ^_^ I think I'll make a Brawl
tournament on the forum in the coming weeks, so if you're interested, sign up.

Thanks to our new staff member, DinoThrasher, I didn't have to worry as much about putting actual content up and could
focus on something fun: the forums. Now you're probably wondering what I could update on the forums, but it is a base
for something I plan on making in the future: the Clan Card Game. On the forums I added a money and shop feature so
you can buy the cards for this game I'm talking about. Of course you don't need actual money, you simply
get 2 Mushrupees for each topic you make and 1 for each post. DO NOT SPAM THE FORUMS JUST FOR MONEY. Your account
will be instantly banned, so don't even try. Being active and spamming are two different things.
Now a little bit about this Clan Card Game. Some of you may have been wondering about it for quit sometime because
it has been a link on the menu since the beginning of BLW. Basically its like trading card game (similar to Magic the
Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh) but with Zelda and Mario cards. This idea is still in development but the basic idea is you can buy
cards you want and use them to play with other members. Of course some cards will be stronger and more expensive than others
so it adds some spin to the idea. Seems fun, no?
On a side note, I will reward people who submit things to the site with Mushrupees. The amount will depend
upon the quality of the submission, so take your time. Once we start getting more submissions, I will open the BLW
Magazine section up which will feature Nintendo news and the best of the month's submissions. If we don't get any more
I will probably open it up anyways just for the Nintendo news. Until then!

I'm not fired, yet, so looks like I'm going to be around for awhile. Get use to it. Anyway, I've written a couple reviews for the site. One
is on Majora's Mask, which is the sequel to Ocarina of Time. I haven't played this game in awhile so I'm sorry if the review seems kind of lacking,
I'll make sure to write a better review for my next submission.
Only
one more day until Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out. Who's hyped? If
your not, you have amazing will power. Email me, I must now how you do it.
On
a more serious note, I've decided to add a Super Smash Bros. Melee
review to get everyone in the mood. It got a 10/10, lets see how well
Brawl
compares. I'll try to beat it as fast as I can so I can write a review on it. It will be tough, but its a sacrifice I am willing to make.

Hey everyone, its DinoThrasher. As you can see I've joined the staff as an article writer. Lets
hope I don't screw it up. Anyway, I've added a review on the game Super Mario 64. Make sure to
check it out when you get the chance. Hopefully I do this right and stay a part of the staff
but in case I screw this up, sorry ahead of time.
Nintendo Power arrived for me
today and it looks like Nintendo has decided to reveal more about the upcoming game Mario Kart Wii.
Now in Game Watch you can see some of the race tracks and the staring rooster for the game.
Nothing has changed with release dates or artwork, but I'm sure this update will change
how you feel about this upcoming game. Trust me though, you won't be disappointed.

I finally added a page with all the staff openings and I am accepting applications as of now.
Currently I am in need of multiple people for each position which are
article writers, game content writers, screenshot people, and video makers. If you're interested in any of them
please visit the page for more information. I hope we get some great staff people, its always fun for new people
to help with the site!
Dinothrasher also submitted a review for a great game: Mario Kart 64. I hope you'll read it if you have
some Virtual Console points to spend, because I believe it was a great game. Enjoy!

which you can help grow by submitting a unofficial wallpaper you made, a font, or even avatars you made.

So, you thought I was slacking the last few days? Nope, I've been working hard on the forums which are now finished. I'm quite pleased with
the layout, but it took some figuring out but it was worth it in the end. Currently we have 3 members, which can't be helped when we get under
10 hits. I think I'll start affiliating once we get so more content, because it is nice to get SOME hits and I would
like as much discussion as possible on the forum.
I have a interesting story about the forum... I downloaded the forum from phpBB simply
because it was free and I've seen many successful boards run on it. Everyone had version 2.0, so I thought I would
be ahead of them and get version 3.0. What a mistake, because oddly enough version 3.0 is harder to edit than 2.0... After
a couple hours I found the code in the CSS that changed the background color... and that's when I decided to switch to
the old version because I knew that could be edited easily, for me at least. Another strange thing about 3.0 is that there are no categories.
This wouldn't be so bad if they showed the sub-forums under the main forum, but they don't appear. Moral: new things on the Internet are either really cool or really confusing.
Well, I still love phpBB because their 2.0 version still rocks... I guess they're still fixing up the newest version.
On a side note I took down the above News and Update banner. Unfortunately the transparent background appears solid
if you have an outdated version of a browser (most notably Internet Explorer 6) because of the new PNG pictures.
I took it down because there are still quit a few people I've noticed with outdated versions and I don't want them
to get an eye sore every time they come here... Maybe I'll put it up later if more people update their browsers.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the forums, I'll be looking forward to more members! Oh, and there will be staff
openings posted soon if you're interested. Still can't wait for Brawl! ^_^

Not much to report other than I added a Super Mario Galaxy and a Twilight Princess game profile. They're
the two main Wii games for Mario and Zelda and I enjoyed both of them very much. If you've have not
played them, then I suggest you should. Both are really fun, infact, I might replay them soon... Anyways,
I'm putting the basics on a few of the major games and then hopefully I'll add some links in the
Multimedia and Walkthrough sections.
Regarding the walkthroughs...
I quite honestly don't expect to get all the walthroughs from fans, for that is quite impossibly with
all the games to cover. That's why I'm going to leave content such as walkthroughs in the hands of our staff members.
I'm currently the only staff member right now, but soon I'll post information on how you can become one.
Content writers are what I need most, so if you're interested, please keep on checking back. Just remember
staff members have to like what they're doing, know what they're doing, and actually do their job on a
regular basis.

I added yet another section, the Game Watch. For those who are wondering what that is, its exactly what it says.
Watching for future games. Right now the only game up is Mario Kart Wii, because its pretty much the only major
game that is not out as far as Zelda and Mario games go. There are still no clues to what the new Zelda game will be, oh
well, I guess one just came out (Phantom Hourglass) but I beat it so long ago it seems old now. I also got a review
on a an oldie, but goodie, Ocarina of Time by Dinothrasher; thank you! If you haven't played that game, you must. You
don't even need an N64 anymore with the Virtual Console on the Wii!

I love these 2 hour delay days, its nice time to do a quick update. Anyways, I actually added some Brawl content instead
of talking about it nonstop. As I'm sure you've noticed, under the spotlight section there is a counter that links to our game
profile for Brawl. I also made the Zelda and Mario Game Archive which will hold all past and future games for each
system listed. We will start making content for the newer games and then work our way back since the newer information
is more useful. Next update I hope to open more of the game sections and perhaps give some news about the forums.

Today is a happy day for I'm done with the dreaded "General" sections. You don't know how boring it is to make them, but
they are a must for all sites.
I added the staff page but so far I'm the only one up there. The affiliation requirements are up but I doubt anyone will want
to affiliate with a site that doesn't follow its own rule 2 (Your site must have a decent amount of content.) o_0 but that will be fixed soon.
I also made the Link to Us section but I still need to make a better looking button because I slapped that thing together
in five mintues. I think I just used the word "but" in all those sentences.
We also got another review for Super Mario Galaxy but this time it is by Maeglin! Thank you! Dragonman asked if he could
rewrite his so I took it down for another day. I'm still eagerly awaiting more submissions, but now at least I can concentrate
on actual game content since the General sections are done. I'll enjoy that much better than telling people how to link
to the site. The forums are still a work in progress, but at least I figured out how to make a topic! =D
Well, only 15 days until Brawl. This has to be the most agonizing wait I've ever had to endure for a game. I think I'm going
to die if I don't play that game soon and watching Youtube videos of my favorite characters fighting isn't helping. I feel bad for Europeans, having to wait until June 6th... Oh well, it is worth the wait for such a game, but if they delay it
again I think I might have to send Nintendo an angry letter. Grr.

Update by Kinopio | 2/4/08
Long time no update! I'll be perfectly honest that I haven't done much since last update, but I have a few things that I
would like to share. First of all, I got a forum uploaded, but unfortunately I am still trying to find out how to change
the layout. I would expect the forum to be up and running in a month or two (yes it seems like a long time, but it will take a while
in reality). It will be my next major project however long it takes,
because what is a site without a forum. We are still eagerly awaiting
any submissions, maybe if I get
some it will inspire me to update more... but I do realize we aren't getting many hits to begin with, so if you could please spread the word about this site to other fans so we can grow more.
The
second thing I would like to share is news about Super Smash Brothers
Brawl. You've probably heard, but it has pushed back again to March
9th. Yep, that's right another painful month of waiting. The Japanese
version was released on January 31 which brings me to my next point. If
you're wondering what secret characters are in it, you don't have to
wait any longer!
If you wish to see the full roster click here. I know these aren't fake because it has been confirmed by many sources.
Next
update, expect the BLW Staff, Link to Us, and the Affiliation sections
to be finished and hopefully more progress on the forum. Until next
time!

The Image Gallery, which encompasses all the other sections I added, is another network that I created like the
Fan Fiction Gallery. If you create an account on the Image Gallery you can add any images you wish that are
Zelda or Mario related. If the submissions are good enough, they may be excepted into one of the sections (depending
on what it is). So lets say you make a art masterpiece and submit it on your own gallery in
User Gallery section. A staff member will see and report it to me and then
sooner or later it will be added to the Fan Art section with other good pieces of fan art. This system will probably have more steps than that
later, but that is the basic idea for now.
I also added the contact page so you can actually email me submissions. All your submissions options are on the
Support BLW page. I will continue working on making the remaining pages not
yet added, so stay tuned!

people to join thanks to the people at eFiction who created it. I got the idea
from MCLoZ, and I've seen it used by many other sites as well. Thanks!
After you create an account, you can not only post stories, but also edit or update them whenever you like.
It also allows you make a series of stories, or just many chapters of a single chapter. You can also have a story
where other authors can pick up where you left off!
