For the amount of content I want to produce, I can simply not do it all myself. That is why I need staff members
to help me out with updating this site. Insterested? Read on.
Writing Positions
Article Writer (multiple positions): This is one of the less demanding jobs you may do. Basically your job is to
fill up various sections that have to do with writing but in a sophisticated manner. You may write reviews, add news to the Game Watch, add articles to the Article Archive, and
update various other sections coming later. However, your pieces must be of a higher quality than the average submission.
Game Content Writer (multiple positions): Your main job is to write guides for the many Zelda and Mario games. These guides
must be accurate and thorough. You don't have to own every game, but please tell me which ones you do own and
are willing to write guides to. This job may expand as the site expands.
Both writing positions are welcome to help me write the Guide to Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom if they wish.
Media Positions
Screenshot Person (multiple positions): Another simple job if you can do it. You take screenshots of scenes from the games I ask you
to. These screenshots are used in the guides and also in the Image Gallery. However, the screenshots you take must be of
decent quaility, so please, no major glare from the flash. Again, you don't have to have every game, but give me a list of what you do have.
Video Maker (multiple positions): Your job is to make video walkthroughs for the games. You must have the
tools and abilities to capture the screen and show play at the same time. You should also have some skills with editing
videos (enough so you can stick a page at the beginning and end). A list of games you could do a video walkthrough for would be helpful as well.
All posistions come with moderator powers on the forums, so it would be helpful if you participated in the site
community as well.
A few things to remember before you ask for a staff position:
-You actually have to do your job on a regular basis (I'm talking 2 or more hours as week).
-You don't get paid with money. Perhaps in happiness.
-You must be a fan and know quite a lot about the Zelda and Mario world
-You must be devoted to doing your job, so you don't join and complain that you have to do work
-You must act mature. Please, no n00bish chatter.
-Once you submit something, it is owned by BLW. Even if you leave the staff, your work will remain.
-Don't give the content you make to other sites, content is supposed to be unique to BLW.
-HTML knowledge is useful if you wish to update for yourself.
-You must, must, must have fun! ^_^
Now while everything above may seem like a lot, don't worry, I don't bite. I understand that some weeks you
simply don't have time to update, but please try to notify me if you don't plan on updating for a week. If you
have those weeks a lot, you probably should think about if you have time to be a staff member.
Don't be the staff member I tell other people that didn't do his or her job.
Think you have what it takes to be a Beyond the Lost Woods staff member? Then please include the following
information in an email to me:
-Username
-Country
-Age
-Your primary email address (please tell me if it changes)
-Job you are applying for
-Any previous experience you've had with Nintendo fansites
-An example of what you will be doing for your job (for example, if you're a writer include something you wrote)
-A brief message (about why you want to be on staff or something)
